Gig or haddoni

Was going to pick up the carpet today, but the shop called and said the carpet's mouth is gaping a bit, so going to leave it a few days :(

Do you think it's a gonner or anything that can be done to help it? Really want this one...purples are so rare in the uk...i think only one purple haddoni is in a reef tank here!

Only one purple Haddoni thats living (TonyG). I had a small one about 18 months ago. Moved behind my rocks and havn't seen it since:furious:

Still think this one is a gig. The way its folded screams of gig IMO. Newly imported gig retract their tenticles and appear like haddoni's.

Do you know if its just the month open?

Is it staying expanded most of the time?

Heres a pic of mine before it went AWOL

Was only about 4" across. Pretty gutted. Pretty common I believe for small hads to move around.

Looks like my purply/green one

The mouth is open about 1inch when he went into the shop in the morning, closed a little when the lights came on, but still gaping. Still sticky to touch and reactive to food.
