Everything has been doing well for 3-4 months and tonight I found my boo yah pecula in the mouth of my gigantea, one of a pair that were both hosted by it...what gives? And can I now add a new clown?(same type.) very dissapointed

No ,he is head first in the mouth of the anemone...I've seen them pick inside the mouth but it's surprising that it would be eaten...maybe I didn't feed the anemone often enough?

They were fine this morning..ate and very active, this tank is part of a two tank setup and everything is fine...is this something that happens?

There is possibility that the clown was kill by something else instead of the anemone. What stickleback observation is true. When the anemone got hold of some food, the mouth will be all puff up to swallow the prey, not at all like the mouth in the picture.

I know Haddoni and LTA eat clowns but these are clowns just release into the tank. Never after they live in the anemone for a while. I have never heard of Gigantea eating A. percula other than this one.

Stickle , your clown looks like mine, what type is it?

WC Soloman Island perc. Bassically a wild strain of the tank bred onyx percs.

Maybe something else has killed that clown. Could be the other clown did it. Then its tried feeding its victim to the nem.

Was the dead fish s a male or female?

How wrer they getting along with each other?
