Gigantea problem?

While my gig looks to be completely healthy, the foot isnt 100% attached to the rock. Only a portion of it is attached to the rock..the rest is just sitting on the sandbed. It eats, tentacles are long and never deflates. Could this lead to a problem in the future or is it ok? I can post pictures later

here are some pictures...tried to get the mantle as best as i could.

looks to me like the rock he's on is pretty narrow so he doenst have much to grab. is that right? if so i wouldnt be worried but might add a wider base rock for him to grab.

thats the thing...the rock has a lot of surface area right where the foot is...it just decides to not utilize it. It just sways in the current.

Hi, really nice gigantea, the blue color is fantastic. I have had mine for about 3+ years, and it likes to bury the foot in the crevices of the rock. Mine sits on a bunch of live rock and its foot is hidden, and the folds of the anemone open over the rocks - no rocks with jagged edges or sharp corners, mostly smooth rocks. It has a diameter of about 16" when it is fully open, and I have a vortech blasting it with current. I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like your anemone is on a rock or two on the sand. If that is the case, I would recommend getting more rock and allowing the foot to hide. My .02, best of luck with that beautiful anemone!
