Gigantea split from foot? Budding? HELP!

I woke up this morning to find quite the surprise in my tank. The bleached gigantea that I have been slowly nursing back to health has taken a turn for the strange.
Over the last few days I noticed that the gig was slowly moving from its prior spot to an area with a little more direct light. I assumed this was an adjustment as it is very slowly regaining its color. It only moved a couple of inches but everything was normal. Sometime during the night a completely separate part of the foot showed up where the anemone previously stayed. It wasn't there over the past few days, I definitely would have seen it. You really have to see the pic below to appreciate the oddity.
The gig still appears healthy (other than being bleached). It has not ever deflated and is insanely sticky. I feed it mysis or very small pieces of fresh shrimp every two or three days and it eats without issue. And actually, its feeding response has been quicker and stronger each time it eats. So all in all I thought it was well on its way to recovery. And now this suprise.
I have tried to check what is left of the foot under the oral disc but it is stuck between rocks and I obviously don't want to use much force to try to get a good look.

So tell me what you think. And trust me, the two pieces are not at all connected any more. I will try to get a better pic later.

For now keep on observing. If main body starts to decline then start a qt for it. Check the sticky thread on treatment. Also it will be interesting what the left behind part does. If it starts to go then remove that from the tank if possible.
Does your GSM, at least thats what it looks like, go into the anemone?

I have cipro ready just in case but after 3 weeks of no sign of infection I am hoping to be beyond that particular worry. I will definitely be keeping an eye on both parts to see what happens.
The GSM was being hosted by a haddoni that I sold after obtaining the gig. The pair has shown zero interest in the gig until today when the female started swimming around the edges of the nem more often.

Ok, in my haste at seeing something new and unusual, I may have made myself look like a idiot.
The gig moved a little more today so I finally got to see what was really going on. The blue you see in the pic was actually the bottom of the anemone's foot. Somehow the foot went from below the pedal disc, down between two rocks, under the sand, and back up through a small hole in that front rock. It was easily stretched 8-10 inches. As it moved today the foot started pulling back down through the hole in the rock (that I didn't remember was there this morning) and making the illusion obvious.
On a side note, this gig is the stickiest nem I hae ever dealt with. It even puts my former haddoni to shame.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Glad you figured that out.

I saw the pic while I was at lunch today and was like HUH...???!!??

LOL
