How can I tell the difference between these two? I understand one is harder to keep than the other but I don't see any difference between the two.

So, since the last picture...I think the tentacle density has pretty much stayed the same but the color has darkened. I think that is encouraging.

Look for the purple spots at the very top of the underside. It is wicked hard to find a healthy one with any chance of surviving though. Gaps between the tentacles and a mushy appearance, sometimes not attaching the foot are all bad signs. Nick, if a nice one comes into an LFS you'll have to fight me for it, and you wouldn't take an anemone from a pregnant lady, would you?![]()
