I have had a gigantea for about a month now, it has stayed in the same spot since I have owned it.. Last night it decided to moved. The spot is in no so much light, should I move some rocks so it can get more light or just let be. I know they move it is not happy, but I don't want this thing to die. Thanks

It will move were it wants to. I would leave it were it is.

How much light do you have? What's the water flow like where it was and where it is now?

I have three 250 watt 20 xm and two 120w atinics. Tunze powerheads. Was in center of tank, now moved back to the back of the tank under a ledge were is not much light. I would think there is still some good flow there. Still looks good.

I don't really buy the, "anemones will move to where its best for them idea."

I have had too many anemones move behind rocks until near death before I pulled them out. Obviously, under a dark ledge is not in a giganteas best interests. If it remains there for another day, I would try to get it out of there.

The bad news is, IME, giganteas moving away from a place where they were previously happy is an indication of bad things to come.

I don't either, our simple bags of water have limited sensory systems which are not adapted to our glass boxes.

If the anemone is attached firmly, I would remove the top of the cave before trying to extricate the anemone from rock.

Agreed, it would be good to find out what triggered the move, and fast.

It will take some work to get this uncovered, but I will do it. If it looks great should I mess with it. Thanks for all the imput
