my wife just brought up a great idea. we should start GIRS for wives. i bet it would be a great way to increase our tank budgets.

You mean like s support club for their junkie husbands? I think they already have that it's called Al Anon.

;)

Thats all we need, I like to keep the wife in the dark about costs of this hobby... I can hear it now waverz wife said that a single pumps costs $300 bla bla bla.

Uhhhhhhh, what he said ......... I just saw my life pass before my eyes.

lol, i'm not really one to complain. it's my hobby and when we go out to SOM my wife is the one saying we should get this and we should get that. then i end up being the bad guy saying we can't get it because it won't be compatible with something or we need to be saving money. i credit this great success to two things.
#1. i have an awesome wife (hopefully she reads this)
#2. i encourage her to have her own hobbies and i try to not make a big deal out of it when she goes to the store.
the disadvantage of #2 is that my tank budget is drastically reduced. but i can't really get anymore tanks until we get a bigger house anyway.

church. when you try to model your life after someone who gave his life for you, then it kind of helps you keep from being selfish. thus instead of trying to make sure i get mine, i make sure she gets hers. i usually end up getting something better than what i would have gotten myself, and there is no strife.

Ryan, don't be so hard on yourself. I've met you and I would consider you a man.

We've got an equal share in the tanks here. HE buy's stuff and I have to keep it alive. Only drawback is we're both trying to hide from the other exactly how much money we spend on the tanks.
