GIRS Summer Frag Auction and BBQ

Start saving your frags! The date is set!

The summer GIRS Frag Auction and BBQ will be on Saturday June 24th. Tentatively it will be at my house in Coralville. I was hoping to get the Coralville Pavilion but it is basically booked for the summer. If someone has any other ideas on where we can have it and be able to have a BBQ (with alcohol) and allow us to have gallons of bagged water, please let me know and I will look into it.

We are going to try something a little different this time. We are actually going to do a live auction. There will more details on this to come. It should be more fun this way.

For food the club will supply the burgers, hotdogs and lemonade (donations accepted ) and we will be looking for volunteers for a few sides and deserts.

I will continue to post more information when I get it. I just wanted to get this date up as soon as I could so that we can have a great turnout like we usually do!

Good question, maybe we can start a separate thread and sticky it to the top for awhile. Or we can just clog this thread with pictures and such...

I'll probably bring all sps for frag donations.

So far that is 4 yes's and 4 no's. We can look at other weekends, but unfortunately my summer weekends are pretty full too and if we can find a "neutral" place to have it we will have to stay with this one to have it at my house....of course not if there are only 4 of us .

That one is a holiday weekend, may be bad for several people. For me it is bad as I am shutting down a dealership in Colorado and finalizing a warehouse inventory.

The weekend before is the one that works well for me. I am throwing around the idea of not going to the wedding on the 24th, but haven't decided yet for sure.

Crap I guess I didn't realize the next weekend was the 4th of July weekend.

No matter what day it's on I'm sure someone can't make it. It's not the end of the world if I can't go. Even though I want to!
