Glass aquariums

Does anyone have any suggestions on cutting in a hole on an all glass aquarium? We know 1 guy that did it for his freshwater tanks.... We're not sure how safe it'd be. Any ideas????

Most are ok on the sides...you can't do the bottoms. I think all the All-Glass tanks have tempered glass bottoms.

I believe a few people on here have bits to drill with. but noone will gaurantee it won't crack. I never did drill mine. couldn't see losing a $200 tank.

I was a bit hesitant to drill mine, so I had Hector out at Tropical Aquarium in Brunswick take care of it for me, I think he charged me $10 for 2 holes because I bought the bulkheads from him...good guy.

It does crack and it does break, if your not sure about doing it and don't have the right tools pay to get it done. I have the right tools and have drilled over 20 holes for people. On my last time drilling a tank, my own tank, I cracked the tank as I broke through the hole. Lucky for me the crack went up and I was able to patch the glass and save the tank.

so what do you charge tp drill a 75?

maybe I can get me a frag tank set up.......hmmmmmmmmmmm

frag tank or divorce lawyer.......
which is cheaper?

I'll have to check with Hector and see if he'd be willing to help us with the drilling....
