Glass cleaning

How often do you have to clean your glass ? I changed out two bulbs in my tank from 110 wat VHO's to 55 watt T-5s . So now I have 6 T-5's on my 90 . Since I did it I have to clean my glass more often .After 3 days it's starting to turn green . I think i had more of a red alge on the glass before .I don't seem to have a alge problem in the tank though . When I check my RO tds it is around 20 . All my tank parameters are fine and the cheto in the sump is growing . How often do most of you have to clean your glass ?

i run 14 39 watt T-5's on my 200 gal tank , its about every 3 days i can see it starting to film up. your TDS is getting up there , look into changing your filters and membrane soon . do you have a phos reactor ? they will help a bit with that too , and wont kill you on the cost of the unit. its the media that is a bit pricey .

No phos reactor and I though my TDS was starting to climb I thought new it was around 5 or so ? on the third day mine is green and I don't think I had that problem with 4 T-5's and 2 VHO's . But now on the third day it's green :mad2:

I've got a 250 mh over a 40 and I clean every 3 days. Hooking up a phos reactor tonight. I'll let you know how it does. My tds is 10 in 2 out

my TDS is 220 in (city water) and 20 out .

that's awful. Maybe add an extra stage to the ro to bring that down. I think a phos reactor will probably help out though. The units are like 40-60 bucks. I'm not sure how much the media is though
