Glass Cutting

Id go with acrylic. it bonds just fine with silicone, and it doesn't break. The stuff at Lowes is way too thin. If you never go in your sump, use glass. If you put anything in there though, Id go with a glass shop not lowes, or just use acrylic....it works. My 125 sump is all glass with acrylic baffles. Been up for years. no issues, no baffle leaks.

Yeah, I saw that 30 long! Unfortunately, I don't think it's actually a 30 long as 30 long dimensions are 36x12x16. I think he's actually got a 40 gallon breeder.

I can't fit a tank that's 18" deep in my stand. I wish I could. I have a perfectly usable 55g sitting in my basement, and I thought 'score! You will be my sump!'. But, my stand is for a 75 gallon, and while it will fit a 48" long tank on its top, it won't fit inside the stand. Same problem with an 18" wide. That'd fit perfect on top, but underneath, I can only go about 14-15" wide.

I'd send them an email. It doesn't look 18 wide in pics. Looks the same as my old tank in pics.

you can call aquaworld they have a bunch of used tanks for ok prices. Not great but ok. I got my forty long sump there for 50 bucks. Its worth a shot if you can't find anything else.

Right now, I could get a new one at Elmer's for $59. I might just do that, if I can't find anything significantly cheaper. I'll give Aquaworld a call, though. Thanks!
