glass drilling question

I drill with the plastic bag and use a little water in squirt bottle to keep things moving and contain dust, use just enough to keep a paste coming out of cut. Also follow scaryperson27's suggestion of drilling for few seconds and waiting this will stop too much heat from building up and breaking the glass. Don't worry about using a cordless drill when damp it won't hurt you I've worked in the rain lots of times. The plastic bag will help keep the drill dry and ruining it.

The plastic bag and spray bottle idea is pretty good you only need a little water. Don't use any kind of antifreeze or grease, bad suggestion and unnecessary, you'll have a mess and it will cause more problems and solve none that water won't as far as drilling.

I have seen holes drilled dry, never tried it personally. It is hard on the hole saw and will shorten it's useful life tremendously. It does make a lot of dust which is very bad to breathe if you should decide to try it this way. This would not be my first choice.

I'd go buy a bit extention and make a jig to keep it alined so I could do it from the top. I always use wax rings and some scrap 4" abs to hold coolant.
