Glass holesaw question

I'm recently planning a new build and need to drill 20-25 holes. I was given several diamond hole saw from a fellow reefers. There seems to be some sign of usage, but otherwise looks very clean.

When will I know its time to replace the bit. I rather purchase a new saw then risk it cracking one of the tanks. And where will the best place be to purchase new holesaw if I'm planning on making many more holes in the future.

I don't know when you would have to replace it. I would think it would just take longer to dill holes as it dulls. I got my last bit from Amazon.

It'll take forever to drill the hole once it gets dull. You normally get 5-10 holes out of a bit depending on how cool you keep it while drilling. There's many places to buy glass hole saws. Just google the size you need.

I'm in the process of building a wall of anemones and clowns, I was afraid the glass may crack if the drillbit was too dull. Was looking at options on ebay and brs, and wouldn't paying a little bit extra to have the more dependable bit.

All depends how thick the glass is and how cool you keep the bit.

When drilling the 3/8'' glass on my 125G the bit was toast by hole #3
