Glass question

I just got a rimless tank and realized there is a crack in the back glass. Just called John at MO and he said its not a hard job just time consuming has anyone done this before where do you get glass? being this is rimless even though its a smaller tank its 3/8 inch glass

I did the back glass in my my 40. Not the easiest thing, but doable. Get piano wire, a pack of razor blades, silicone remover, and acetone to get the glass good and clean.

its not a large tank its just that its a miracles rimless with starfire on the other three sides so seems a shame just to ditch it

What's the worst that can happen? It still doesn't hold water? I'd give it a shot. a 3/8" piece of glass can't be that expensive.

glass is about 70 bucks and prob 20 in silicone so not terrible but could be better
I just wish there were a way to use acrylic

Give Ark a call. They were pretty reasonable when I did mine.

They were much better about 60 bucks for the glass but they wanted like 30 a hole to drill it where as the guy in honeoye was 7 looks like I may have to make a road trip
