Glass tank builders

Going to start the process on a 500 plus tank 96"L x 36"W x 32"T island. Would like to get some names of glass tank builders so I can start to price things out for the new house. Thanks in advance.

If you have any pictures of your Island build that would be great also.

Have you looked into glasscages? I have only seen their tanks at the shows and dont personnally have one. Their prices seem really good compared to what I have seen, not sure why you dont hear more about them? Sorry I dont have much help for you though.

I am still in the process of planning a large tank for my new house but from what I've heard, you can't beat Acrylic and Glass Exhibits (A.G.E.) for their tanks. I hear they are expensive but the build quality is second to none.

Up here in Canada it doesn't look like I will be able to get them to do my tank but if I was in the US, they would be my first choice.

Call FishWorld in Richmond, VA http://www.fishworldric.com/fish-world-ultimate-saltwater-aquariums.nxg They are one of the oldest Salt Water retail shops in the US. I can't tell the the name of their custom builder (it's a tightly guarded secret) but I can tell you that they do a fantastic job. I really appreciated the quality of the build when I dropped a 100 lb canopy from a height of 3 feet down onto my tank last week. Fish World has a 1200 gal and a 900 gal tank in their shop built by the same builder. My display tank is just a 550 and they made my 135 gal sump as well. Joe, the owner does many dozen large custom builds each year.

ebruce01 I know a couple people that have glass cages and they are OK tanks. I was looking at one before I got the Oceanic 215.

Mark, I will try to find some info on them. Thanks

GoToSleep, I've been up and talked to Joe many times about a tank and would love to have the one he has set up in the room behind the 1200 gallon but the new tank maybe in Eastern Ohio. He gave me a quote on a 500 back before I got the 215.

I know that Joe has travelled a lot farther than Ohio for set-ups. Closer to home, he's getting ready to do twin 500's for a friend of mine. Give him a call and even if you don't want him to do the set-up, he could probably get it drop shipped to you.
