what glass thickness would be needed to keep a peacock? there is a lady on another forum, im the only one on that forum that has a mantis, she asked me and i told her i would ask on here, thanks in advance
i think that in order for a peacock to be able to break or chip glass, it needs to be 6" or larger. I remember Dr Roy mentioning that somewhere awhile back ( correct me if im wrong Dr Roy ). Good luck. Also some people layer a sheet of acrylic on the bottom of glass tanks and a few inches up the sides of the tank.
I think 30 gal is bare minimum...something bigger would be better. I think when the tanks are 30 gal+ the glass is thick enough for it to withstand a hit from a mantis...i could be wrong though...
