glasscages

They build a solid tank, maybe a little sloppy on the silicone though.

I have a glass cages tank and I personally think it's quite good. I will agree that they're a little sloppy on the silicone but I would much rather them overdo the silicone than be skimpy with it!

As far as the customer service goes it completely depends on who you talk to. I talked to three different people, one was rude but the other two were nice and were more than willing to help me out.

I would overlook the silicone sloppiness and the one person that was rude to me in order to get a nice tank that is built like a brick sh**house!

Chelsey,

The rude person is the owner. I agree the other folks were great but the decisions come down to one person. Hard to overlook when you have a problem.

I did forget to mention that the plastic work (overflows) didn't come close to fitting.

i purchased a 240 gal from them last year was supposed to be 96 x 24 x 25. so when the was building the tank i was building a room divider for it (with those #s in mind. I drove there to pick it up, got it home and was only 23.5 in high. Im sure it doesnt seem like a big deal but when it is in a drywall enclosure it makes for a little aggravation. Any how does hold water and still no leaks.

I have always considered them for my next tank.... I am saving my pennies for a 300g... My goldfish will be so happy!

I've had mine for several years now. I haven't had any issues at all. When I bought mine I dealt with Tom, the owner, and also had no complaints. He treated me well and built exactly what I requested, exactly. I would order again.

i get the bad customer service from glass cages. i had some dealings with them when i was looking at a tank. but i think they make good tanks. they are overbuilt. i also checked with aqua art and had prices figured for an acrylic tank. the owner was real nice and replies to my emails very quick. Kraash has a tank from aqua art and he warranties them for like 20 years. glass cages warranties theres for 90 days and you have to buy their stand. i did not end up buying from either one of them because i found a good deal on a used one.

just a thought a 300 gallon glass tank is going to be very heavy my acrylic 225 is lighter than my 150 glass tank.
