Work in progress
I removed a branch invested with invasive zoanthids sp.
Because i needed the branch i spayed the pest zoanthids with 10% caustic soda an left it there for a few hours. After that i used the highpressure washer to remove the waste.
I used a facemask all the time

Happy Reefing, GlennF
These are the last pictures of this section of this tank.
It was long overdue and needed a makeover.

I aware of the danger...Be careful with those palythoas, I cut some of the same kind under a diamond band saw with full face protection and somehow the toxin got aerosolized--Had to go the ER with tachycardia and incessant coughing.
Of course, living in the US means the doctors thought I was crazy mentioning the poisoning and sent me home saying I had the flu. Afterwards they billed me $1700 lol
Haha.. been there, done thatGlenn you are the only person I know who grows their own reef!!!

Hmmm.. me too...... but than i thought about the extra work it took to keep the tips from touching the surface...I love the new redo, looking at the pics it feels like a reef out in the wild.
