Glue for frags?

Hi Everybody...

We have a Nepthea coral that is growing and doing fantastic. Recently....a few of the "branches" have broken off on their own and I would like to try to stick these guys to some small pieces of live rock. I've read that alot of people use the Super Glue Gel....and I sent my husband to the store to get some. They did have the "gel" type of Super Glue...but right next to it they had a product called "Loctite Stick'n Seal Waterproof Adhesive". Has anybody ever tried this and is it safe for use in the tank?

if the little ones have some sand on the bottom of the coral, then super glue gel works great. but if its a fresh cut, or doesnt have sand most the time glues dont work. you will need to tie it down with a rubberband or some other method. i think stick'n seal is more like a silicone than a glue. dont think it will work in the tank.

Superglue probably won't work for a nepthea as with all soft corals. They tend to shrink and expand which breaks the bond. You could try so just let they settle on some small rocks or CC. Or you could try using a toothpick and sticking through the base of the coral and stick it in a rock or rubberband it to a rock. You can also try using some screen or netting and rubberband it to a rock.

I have a few small...very porous pieces of LR and I will try to stick the little squiggly guys in there. They are very slippery and they do shrivel up when I touch them.

I know this is going to sound really "wussy"....but I'd be really squeamish to stick a toothpick through them. I'd feel like I was piercing flesh or something.
