i'm new here can someone tell me if i can glue frags that r on lr rubble to the lr thats in my dt without having to remove the rock from my tank? and if yes what should i use?

You can try to use a reef safe epoxy like aquamend. I've had mixed results with underwater bonding, but you might get it to work. Seems to work better if you can blot the water off the area you want to bond first.

Almost everyone I have asked said to use SUPER GLUE. I know your probly thinking the same thing I did..... "are you nuts". I am going to give it a shot next week after I rebuild my tall hex so I'll let you know if it works for me.

The reason I am trying it is because so many say you can glue pieces without taking oput the LR the is a base and can't be removed.

The super glue should be super glue gel I often glue the frag to a piece of rubble and then glue that to a piece of LR in the tank. After the frag is attached to the rubble piece. I put some gel onto the rubble piece and then place it on the LR in the tank, holding it in place for a couple of minutes. Works well for me.

rember after you glue the frags get bac in water asap.. it reduces the heat that the glue puts off.. higher surival rate..

I use a generic gel super glue. It is slow to set up. I put a glob on the plug and a glob on the frag. I let them set for 60 sec and then put the two together hold in place another 60 sec. and then very lightly place in some tank water for another 5 minutes. This generic glue needs a good 30 min to set up hard. No heat and a good bond after 30 minutes or so.
