Gluing Spa flex

I just glued some spaxflex with PVC cement and five minutes later it fell outa the fitting.

Any ideas?

I have a couple of sections of spa-flex in my plumbing that I used the same glue on as the rest of the PVC. Has held fine with no leaks so far (knocking on wood).

Clean both ends with the pvc cleaner and apply the cement to both pieces, give them a little twist and they should never come apart again.
