Since the start of my tank I was inspired by Japanese Reefers by their beautiful, no/little visable equiped reef tanks, although it may not have seemed like it from the first pictures - well all the pictures up untill now lol. I have finally done it.

This is what the tank looks like if you were to walk into my bed room and see the tank.

And an angled FTS showing the equipment on top.

Thank God! for CPR overflow boxes. :D

wow..thats all i can say :) This is an amazing tank

Did you paint the back ground yourself? if so...what paint did you use? I need to do a background on my tnaks, but idk which blue to use...they've got like 60 dif. blues just at walmart lol

Nice. :) I like the black return pipes on top and the little Clarkii clown and orange montipora digitata.

Can you tell me what type of pipe you used, the pipe and return nozzle sizes and whether you did this because you were "bord?"

Thanks guys,

The pipes is just regular old PVC pipe, and the nozzles are locline. the black pipe/elbow in the back, top, left conner is a U-Tube Return that i got from Marinedepot.com.

Travis sweet tank... my project I am building in my sons room is exactly that of an sps nano.. good job! Out of curiosity ... how long has the tank been established before the addition of the frags>? I am considering to add but may decide to allow the tank time to mature but thats me...like to know your wait time if any?

Thanks,

Nick

2 months, but if I had to do it over again, I would wait to at least 5, probly 6 months. Adding to soon got me browned SPS and it has taken 8 months for them to start looking something like what they did when I first got them.

hey travis

dont get me wrong your tank is gonna look nice BUT it would be a good feture to have a small BTA for tht clown of yours ( IMO)

Im in the mids of downsizing my tank form a 40 corner unit to a 18( 24x12x15) or a 20H and i do like your aqua scape so if your dont mins that will be getting ( atempted) done in my tank lol.

wht happend to the 29gal you had?

Nice looking tank

Have you considered making a fake hood, a front and sides, to hide the plumbing and equipment ? It wouldn't have to be anything fancy............

Reef Runt, no offense taking, I 110% agree with you about the corals needing to grow in! :D You can also try to replicate my aquascape, if you can :haha: and for a BTA, it would get too large, plus i realy don't have a place for one.

Agu, I am proud of my plumbing, and IMO, hoods look kinda cheesy, JMO.
