Gobies + shrimp + pipes = ?

Would it be possible to keep a pistol shrimp goby pair with a pair of blue strips in a 20 gal? Are there any shrimp to watch out for other than coral banded with pipes? Would the goby bother/harass the pipes too much?

i would be too scared that the pistol might shoot up the pipe the pistol that was in my tank killed one of my cleaner shrimps and after that i was too scared it might kill one of my pipes so i got rid of the rock it was in... hopefully someonen with better knowlage will chime in.

Oh, boy. Sounds rather scary. I was afraid that could be a problem. Well, if nothing else it gives me an excuse to have 2 tanks.

I keep seahorses a pair of pipes and a goby/shrimp in a 24 gallon and have no problems. The shrimps are normally to scared of anything that moves they dive for cover if anything goes near them.

Try and get a Randells pistol is your worried as they stay really small. But then you will also need a small goby.

Yep thats the one. Stunning little thing, i have the yasha too in my main tank.

In my seahorse tank i have the same shrimp again with a Hifin banded goby.
