Goby for a 12g Aquapod

Wintermute

I'm looking for a good goby to put in my 12g Aquapod. Currently I have about 15lbs of live sand and 15-20lbs of LR. The following critters are in the tank:

1 purple-striped pseudochromis
4-5 hermits (mixed blue and red-leg, all very small)
3 Astrea snails
2 nerite snails
3 nasarrius (super tongan)

Corals:
a few mixed zoas
button polyps

Basically, I would like something hardy and colorful that will do well in a small tank.

I was thinking about the watchman goby/shrimp combo. I think one of my LFS has a watchman goby right now. Would I have any issues with the shrimp and the psuedochromis?

Your pseudo might harrass the goby so much you'll never see it, I had a tiger pistol and a pair of Orangespotted gobies. My Bi-color Pseudo harrassed them so bad that I would never see them, as soon as I got rid of the Bi-color the gobies and shrimp are out and about all the time. Also when you say purple striped are you talking about a Diadem Pseudo..(Pseudochromis diadema) if you are mine is a jerk but he's in a tank with much larger fish.

has anyone ever had a catalina goby....i love them. ive had one in my 12g for about 6 months now and he is just doing great. ive never really heard anybody talk about them. has anyone ever had one???

anydarnthing - Yup, that's the one. And it is pretty aggressive, so I am worried about adding anything that might get really stressed. I actually had an irritating blue damesel in another tank that I transfered into the nano last night (felt bad for the guy since no one wanted him). Anyway, I think I'll just stick with those two since they're both agressive fish and they've been in the same tank before with no ill effects.

It's a cold weather species, generally prefering temp in the 72-74F range. Cool looking fish nonetheless.

I have a red banded hi-fin goby with a shrimp. Both are inseparable and fun to watch. The only problem that I have is that my 6-lined wrasse tries to grab the goby (its good to be fast). Here's a shot of my goby--a nice looking character :).

I have a Yasha Haze and Tiger Pistol pair in my 65, and two Hi Fin Goby's and a Candy Strip Pistol in my 20 nano. They are probably my favorite fish as they are really entertaining. I don't think you can go wrong with them.
