Goby pistol shrimp pair

Today I got an orange spotted goby and a striped pistol shrimp from inland aquatics. They are pretty small but very nice and healthy. The thing is, they are separated now, the goby doesn't know where the shrimp made a hole under the rocks. The shrimp is so small I'm worried he could end up fish food, should I be worried? I know where the shrimp went, will they "find each other ?". Anything I can do to help? I feel bad for them, not to mention it coat extra because they were already paired! Lol

Came home from dinner and was checking out the tank...they found each other lol... Pretty cool fish

And now I think maybe the pistol was picked off by another invert, prob an emerald. Not positive but looks like it, so bummed

Well i was wrong thankfullly i saw the duo today they changed houses an now have a spot dead center and much closer to the front glass. What a great dynamic to watch them in action. That little goby is quick too, the starry blenny was perched above the goby just watching and the goby did a 180 and darted into the hole so fast All I saw was a dust cloud

The good news is that there is no need to worry about the pistol being picked off by anybody in the tank. The bad news is that you will rarely see him. You will however, see evidence of his work every single day. I hope your rock work is really stable.
