goby shrimp pair

If I were to get a pistol shrimp that is already paired but not the goby, and add the shrimp to a tank w/ a small high fin banded shrimp, would they pair up? Would either half of the pair I separated be stressed? Also they had a pistol that was orange yellow w/ darkish purple claws and a spot near the tale, is this a non-pairing shrimp? The guy said it was but I didnt trust him. :lol: :rollface:

From my reading however, it is a very very rare thing that they will pair up if you add them seperately. Read up and see what you think.
