I had an orange spot watchman goby that I really liked, but had put all fish in a 29g while I broke down 65g DT, and last night he jumped out. Sad,sad,sad! B/f getting another one, I'd like some input on best goby for 65g. My Watchman sifted sand all the time and re-arranged it. I'm wanting a shrimp/goby pair. I only have about 1 1/2" sand.

Carolyn,

I believe that none of the goby/shrimp pairings have gobies that sand sift. Do you want the sand sifting characteristic?

Maybe it would not be considered sifting sand, but my Watchman like ate sand and it came back out his gill slits. He also frequently re-arranged the sand - mouthfuls carried from one place to another until he built up 4" or so - then build a den underneath. Is that what is meant by a sand-sifting goby? I liked watching him - he was really my favorite fish. Will an orange spotted or yellow goby pair up with a shrimp?
