Going from 175 mh to 250 mh

Im going from 175 watt mh to 250 watt mh, what is a good way to do this? mesh screen? raise the light fixture up higher? what you be the least stressful on the corals/

If you haven't yet purchased the ballast etc., you should consider the iwasaki 15k 175w. It has more par than most 250w bulbs. When I switched out bulbs, I would always raise the pendants up and slowly lower them over time.

I tried the Iwsaki 15,000K and agree they have great PAR. I ended up switching to Radium 250's though as I didn't like the color of the Iwasakis. I like a crisp white with a bit of blue and to my eye the Iwasakis were white bordering on yellow. I had ARO ballasts.
I would use mesh for sure and raise them if you have the means. I had a fair amount of damage to some of my sps even using mesh, however I changed to Lumenarc reflectors at the same time.

well my 175 watt ballast in going out so i thought it would be a good time to upgrade to 250 watt.
