Going from old driver to new driver question

I have a old generation 2 mp40w and I was wondering if it would cause any problems if I tried and covert the driver to the newer mp40qd? Do I have to buy extra parts?

I did that. I didn't buy anything extra. Just took the RF module from the old driver and added them to the new. The pumps are way more silence - so I'm really happy about the upgrade

Pretty sure I've done the earlier white box moving to the ES driver and I know I've done the ES driver moving to the QD driver. No issues other than remembering to move the wireless card.
