Going thru DI resin quick?

Any thoughts?
I am making 100gals and seems like it is all used up?
I don't remember going thru it just after 2 water changes?
Is water higher on TDS after winter?
How often you change yours

First guess is a bad membrane. How old is it? What is the TDS after the membrane, but before the DI? Do you run 2 stage DI?

To determine the condition of your membrane, we really need to know what your TDS is after the membrane and BEFORE the DI, but if you're getting 14 after the DI, it's a fairly safe bet that you're due for a new membrane and new DI.
I'd call Spectrapure and get those ordered. While you're at it, order an add on canister for an extra DI stage, and you may as well get the pre filters, too. I order extra pre filters as they burn out faster than the membrane and DI.
With two DI canisters in line, the first one will exhaust first. When that happens, you discard that resin, move the last stage (used resin) forward one, and put new resin in the last stage.
It doesn't have to be Spectrapure, but that's who I use, and I believe they are the best name in pure water there is. Know going in that their shipping is slow, I've waited close to two weeks for a shipment from them.

Jarrett,
I need pre filters. If you are going to order from Spectrapure, let me know, I'll split shipping with you.

I don't always trust tds numbers
After a bought w hair algae I narrowed down the search
tested water coming out of ro/di was 0 / phosphates at 40 with tds readings
Aslo recalibrated tds meter with new solution
found di resins craped out
ALWAYS CHECK AND RE CHECK make up water before mixing with salt

going to check the TDS before and after DI
Larry you might be right new membrane sounds right I won this system around when I was at nerac Texes 2 yrs ago lol
