going to arc

goggle maps in new york city then fill in "aquarium stores " or saltwater fish stores" bingo
or you can get on manhattan reef society and ask the question of where to go . you can even post atread here on RC and get tons of responses of which stores are good to go to and ask what days shippments come in or phone numbers are even the best cause you can call them right up .look up my post on "going to ny " i will post and ask about it right now .

When going elsewhere outside the 4 great Rochester shops we have:

I highly recommend ARC (A Reef Creation) The whole store usually makes ones eyes pop! Randy has got a great place with great stuff.

I also recommend Salt Water Paradise in Tonawanda.(Buffalo area)
Fantastic place. They have a lot of different stuff. Unusuals here and there and some real big size stuff(corals) too.

Sometimes bigger fish too. For those interested in that. (sharks / octopus)

The 'cuse is a bit far for me. But I'm thinking in the summer, I will take a drive out there to ABC Reefs.

oh no doubt the rocheater buffalo area is packed with at least ten to fifteen places the we go to that are all you really need to fill all your needs . the best thing is to befriend an owner so you can personally get ahold of the order lists and see whats out there . ABC will do this and its such a dream come true as i get to order fish that i want not hope my lfs gets one in some time and i stumble on it . CF and RS in roch have wish lists too .

buffalo also has Markeim s ,the fish place ,and a couple that i know where they are just not the names . one is very north on rt 74 i think it is ,whichever is the exit 49 if im not mistaken

Yeah, I've been to Markheims as well. Not bad. But not as good as the others.
That fish place is better.

Are you thinking of Pets Plus in Lockport... They have quite a bit of cool stuff there now and then as well.

YUP. Say hello to Kat. Kat has insomnia. Kat sometimes doesn't sleep. If reefers are talking .....Kat will refresh the page until something new pops up.

Tim and Jeremy are great at ABC. I asked about a Purple Rim Montipora two weeks ago, they called me the first part of this week to tell me they got one in for me. It is a stunning piece!! The trip to Syracuse is worth it.

I'm in Dan, can you pick me up?

LOL cully. U know full and well if i go out to cuse... it will be an all day event. Buffalo would be OUTTA THE QUESTION! My grandparents dont live too far away from cuse (near auburn NY) so i DEF will be out there this summer.

on a side note to all you "roadtrippers"

The ultimate road trip would be the hong kong fish market :)

Especially during lent!!
:sad2::sad1::thumbdown

there's 10 - 20 places on or close to rt 3 and rt 93 i just was checking it out ! then if you get into Conn. omg !and the NYC! my wife and i usually go for a weekend and "hunt" Friday & Saturday then fill boxes on Sunday and return home at 85mph !

I work for a company in Boston, and get there at least every 90 days. If there are particular stores you'd like me to check out the next time I'm there, let me know. I looked the last time I was there, but the family was with me and I didn't feel right dragging them around to all the Boston fish stores on THEIR "vacation".
