Gold and black maxima

i just got my hands on a gold and black maxima .. im hopeing he makes it through all the transitions of the lfs to my house and such .. his bysus gland was out at teh lfs so he was at least somewhat happy .. he's not quite open yet.. i'll give him a couple days and some feedings ... hopefully he will coem around .. i got him pretty cheap... .. i figure if i can keep crocea and have em grow a new 1/8" of shell in like 2 months i think the maxima should be just fine .. the gold/black looks cool .. i'll take pics when he opens ...

I'm looking forward to the pics. I LFS near me has a little 2.5 inch clam that he says is a black/white maxima. I'd like to see how yours looks comparatively.

theres a pic of what it looks like right now .. its more open than it was last night .. and more open than i saw it at the store.. my tank seems to be clam friendly.. i cant wait till it opens liek my others.. the intake isnt way too far open so it will prolyl make it i hope .. its very responsive.. there was another one at the store .. i picked this one over the other cause the other wouldnt close all the way if i moved it around .. it was responsive like this .. but this one closed all the way .. the other wouldnt .. for some reason that seemed like something a healthy clam might do .. idk could be non sense.. but theres the pic of what he looks like now

i just got that anthias last night .. i dont think he can handle my female .. he eats like a pig but likes the clam better than he likes her.. it might just be the light that he doesnt like .. he want from the lfs to my house .. they had like 100 watts of light i have 660.. idk hope he pulls through .. he looked fine last night displayed to the female for a good 30min.. then he decided to hide and now he likes the clam.. lol strange fish
