I have a pair of Gold band maroon clowns. I was thinking of buying a Carpet Anemone but I have no idea if the would host it.

Anyone know?

Back when I had a maroon pair with my blue carpet. Traded them in due to sand stirring.

it will take them a few hours to days to months before they might host in it.. they take some time. the carpet is not their natural host so nature might take a bit to kick in.

The only thing you can really do is wait and hopefully they take to the carpet. Its probably a good thing the maroons dont take to it yet, since it will give the carpet a chance to get used to its new environment without the stress of a maroon pair hosting it.

The carpet did not make it.... I think my tank has to much flow and it over stressed. Also, I bought it online and I was never told it was 1/2 "frag" of the original.

That is irresponsible of whoever sold it too you. If I were you I would contact the seller and let him have it. Carpets don't ship well in the first place and to ship one that was 1/2 a frag of the original is just ridiculous, especially considering the fact that Carpets cannot be fragged like bubble anemones.

Was it freshly fragged?

Check you LFS or divers den for a haddoni if you want to try another.

Thanks for the sympathy. Yeah, it looked to be fresh. I am contacting the seller. I did not know you could not frag. That was not cool. It is wrong on many levels.
