Anybody here having luck/experience keeping this angel in a reef aquarium?
I have a med-adult occasionally picking on my SPS, and had to take my open brain, acans out..

I have a juvenile gold flake angel for over a year. Tank is mainly SPS with some palys and soft corals. Does not bother anything. Beautiful fish.

Well, I'm trying her to stay away from nipping the corals by feeding 3-4 times a day which work pretty good, she has such a big appetite for all kinds of food and even eat out of my hand.
What I realize now is my flame angel is doing more nipping on the corals.
The problem is how do you catch 'm out of a 300g. set-up, like catching lightning in a bottle:fun5:
Any suggestions?

use the "fish trap" and dont feed for like 2 days. then put food in the trap and you may want to super glue a weight (like a rock) to the top of the trap door so it will fall faster.

I use a controllable door which falls quickly. As suggested, don't feed for 2 days then bait with a "smelly" food.

I had a Goldflake in my 110 gallon mixed reef for about 8 years without any issues. I lost it about a year ago, finally found another about three weeks ago and have had no issues with him (or her) since introducing it. I have mostly lps and softies with a few sps. As for the flame angel, it may take some time but you should be able to catch it with a fish trap. Good luck.

Thats a relief to know about the GF, definitely my favorite and will give it some time...

Well I couldn't stand 'm picking on my Acro's, so I put my scuba gear on!
It wasn't to bad since my set-up is a peninsula with 2 islands.
So I made a divider out of egg crate and kept it half way down till he got to smaller island and quickly closed 'm in.

For the Gold Flake, I see her less nipping on the corals since feeding more often and hopefully can introduce my acans-open brain-dendrophyllia back soon which are kept the refugium.
