Saw one up on DD last night, was actually fairly yellow, who got it?

Is it a male or female? I count 5 bands and then the last incomplete one, I told myself it was a male so I wouldn't be tempted to get it.

Haha yea that's what I thought, but don't really have room for another lion right now...I could always convert my last FW setup to salt though...

Based on the sweep of the pecs, I'd say female.

That's gonna be a pretty fish once it colors up.

FWIW, the fish is a "6-bander", which puts it in that "either way" category, but the sweep of its pecs is very short, and her head is pretty small, which suggests that the fish is a female.

I saw this last night...wish I had a tank for that one but I'm having to hold off on the lions for a while.

Hm, the head looked large to me...
I was going from the bands. I guess, since it had six, I didn't know...but for some reason I was just leaning towards male. I'm not good at this stuff, yet.

Its the going rate for a "golden", but that lion is not a yellow.
