Gold mushrooms

At a recent frag swap, a vendor had a single gold mushroom for $100. Are these really that rare? I really liked the color but are people paying this much for them? I can't find much info online about them.

Has anyone ever seen these or know anything about their value? Thx.

At the recent WORC swap in Dayton, one of the guys had some ironman mushrooms (?) listed on fragswapper. They were gold in color and were listed around $20-25 a polyp.

be careful at any frag swap... personally i do not purchase specimans based on how "rare" the seller says they are for the main reason that his main goal is to have me walk away with his product.... anyone who has sold anything can tell you their product is rare no matter what.... if you like it and the price is right then buy that sucker... but dont listen the sales lines on the rarity of a subject. happy frag swapping! :bounce3: :bounce2: :bounce3:

yup, exactly
oh and make sure that you can take care of the coral. some require special care. you don't want to come home and realize you have to hand feed your new prize three times a day and once in the the middle of the night

$25/polyp is an awesome price! Locally usually $50+/polyp

As mentioned previously IMO value is how much you want that coral.
I have gladly paid $500+ for a small frag just bc I loved it!

As fast as mushrooms can spread, (in most cases) I wouldn't pay an exorbitant amount of money for them.
