I work at a dealership in which a local vendor maintains a fish tank of 1000 gal. It has an enormous amount of fish, and they all have quite a personality, especially the Gold Spotted Rabbitfish. GSR loves to creep up behind lying fish that are either hiding/stressed, and proceeds to 'pretend' to bite on their fins. I've never actually seen him do it (bite them, that is), but I'm wondering if his behavior is what it seems. He even seems bemused that I catch him doing it, (I'm definitely not the only spectator, I have only worked here for 7 months), but some of the fish seem to know me I guess.
Any way, are GSR as playful with the others, or is he perhaps picking on them? The foxface rabbitfish, who last was being 'pranked' is a very stressed fish, (not a fan of the lionfish in there), but he wasn't interested in fleeing either. Thoughts?
