This torch isn't dieing or anything just lost that gold stalk coloration. I don't target feed but I see food particles when the fish are feed blown to his area. I'm using 250 radiums and its at the bottom of a 24 inch tank. It is under the light but not directly but rather to the side corner (tank 125L with 3 openings with a 250 radium in each). Again the tank is fine and the torch is fine but just the coloration isn't gold as when I first bought it. Any thoughts? So far I got was to shade it. Thanks

Bleaching in LPS is typically loss of zoox algae within. Either it's been stressed, or it's starving. Check params, have you changed anything? The gold torches are the toughest btw, and most guys in my club don't try them anymore after loosing the battle time and time again, but other torches are fine.

I have the same issue.....both of my Gold Torches are now beige (under LED lighting). I did find out they can't tolerate mid to high lighting levels as other torches (greens for example) do. Mine started to bleach relatively easy until I moved it down to the bottom in a partially shaded area.

It's been in my tank for over 3 months. I just don't feed it and it's literally on the sand bed.

I'll do more research. For now I guess I'll spot feed it and put it under shade.
