Where is a good place to find a nice gold torch? I saw live aquaria had one the other day but I missed it.

I got a big one polyp head from Fraggle Reef a few months back for $30, about 3/4 the size of the one WWC has for $150. He's got a huge colony farming out in a tank there, if it's not on the site I'd send him an email.

Have you seen the multi color ones at Cherry Corals? They are out of this world.

Is that the green ones with the yellow tips? Seems like every LFS in LA has those the past few months, they come in pretty regularly from the Solomon Islands... Honestly if you have a decent LFS I'd have them forward pics to their suppliers, might come out a bit cheaper :)

Thanks for all the info. I wouldn't mind spending the $150 on one but if I'm ordering online ima spend enough for free shipping and there was nothing else there I wanted.
I spoke with the people at fragile reef and he has a few different torches that I am going to see about getting. Thanks for y'all help.

i got one that looks the same when expanded only covers about 3" though.

heres a pic...

unfortunately i don't have a $2000 camera, but my iphone shows the colors well enough to see it is the same coral. also, fyi, it glows a 'radioactive' orange under my led's [hard to photograph, but i'll keep trying]. my parents bought it for me, but i am really an sps guy. was planning to trade it at our local clubs next frag swap, but would be willing to sell to you if your interested. is so, pm me your info so i can figure shipping out.

also, not sure if i am breaking any rules by posting this, if so, mods feel free to edit. thanks.

Cool I was woundering what the gold looked like. I was thinking yellow or orange but thats more of the brownish gold.

yeah it is two-toned. one side metallic gold and the other a 'bruise' brown, with white tips. really cool looking.
