Golden pearls for clams

Anyone have experience feeding clams with golden pearls? Of course the have to be the smallest sizes.
Any info appreciated.

I've found that even the smallest size seem to bother my clams. I can get away with feeding the tank a very small amount at a time (a Salifert spoonful) but any more than that and the clams start gaping. I think it clogs their gills.
