Golden Rhomboidalis Wrasse thoughts???

Currently have a 60g cube with one Wyoming white clown. Plan on stocking another clown and a blenny.

However, today saw a Golden Rhomboidalis Wrasse at a LFS. What a stunning fish. Mystery wrasse was my favorite wrasse but I think this specimen changed my mind. Anyone have experience with one? I would love to add it to my setup. LFS said I'd be fine but I know how that can be. I would even sacrifice the blenny and go with just the wrasse and clown pair.

Thoughts? Good or bad idea?

Thanks

I think they get a little too large for a 60 cube, assuming the tank is 24"x24"x24". Although the width of the tank is good, the length is not, and so I don't think the tank will provide enough swimming space for it. Some may disagree, but I have a few 3.5-4" Fairy/Flasher Wrasses in my 6' 125, and they use every bit of the tank all day long. I would look into Possum Wrasses, or the Pink Streaked Wrasse (Pseudocheilinops ataenia).

I forgot to ask, is your tank covered 100% with either 1/4" mesh or solid cover? Otherwise, Wrasses would not be an option either way.

In a 60 cube you could house some of the smaller fairy wrasses, lubbocki, flavidorsalis, aurantidorsalis, rubripinnis, Phillipinne lunatus, or cf lanceolatus.

Or you could try the Terelabrus species of hogfish as well.

Imo lubbocks are really nice looking wrasses- and cheap.
