Goldflake ..... ?

I bought this angel a month ago as a juv. Goldflake angel , although i'm not sure now if he is .

Any ideas on whether or not it is or if not ideas? I would have thought I would see more color on upper fins by now. I'm ready to move in to main tank , and just want to make sure it's not a Flagfin by chance , although from all my research on them it does not appear to be.

I'm not an EXPERT on juvi angels, but by the time my goldflake was starting to lose it's upper dot, it already had lots of black on that fin, not just on the bottom one. By that alone, I'd think you have a flagfin.

Yeeks...Sorry,
I didn't know that we can't mention the name of another site here?!?
so we will play a little name game...

It is Http:// (Reef) (builders) .com/

I got it from Jl Aquatics in BC. They are a great store, so if it is Flagfin Im sure I can get my refund. I still think it might not flagfin, as it seems to be getting the gold marks on the body.

Ooops, forgot to tell you how to connect it back.
Get rid of unnecessary spaces and the () and then connect all the lines...
:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I love RC and I don't want to do anything wrong but this is really strange that I couldn't type (Reef)(builders).com?

Sites that have had an issue with the UA here multiple times have been put on the filter. RC doesn't blanket block all web links.

Blennie: i have looked at this article and pic, a lot alike but still no dark color on upper fin on mineyet but gold color seems to be showing through on main body.

That gold sprinkling on your fish's body is why I was thinking that its got some goldflake in him/her...as we know that the hybrids won't all come out looking one way, there will be some slight variations!

Anyway, I'm hoping that a hybrid is what you've got there since that will be so ultra neat!

Keep us updated as he/she grows!

Would you , or do you keep yours in a reef tank? Not sure if I want to chance it or not. He is eating well and reaxy to get out of quarentine.

I keep mine in my SPS tank, nips a little at them but over all a pretty model citizen. Then you never know as each has it's own personality

I would have sworn that you had a Goldflake Juvi but never had any experience with them as of yet.

Well just an update on my Goldflake / Flagfin. After 4weeks in quarantine , and nearly 4 weeks in the DT , he has adapted very well , a few small squabbles with my Flame-back and wrasses , but now is eating well ( nearly anything I throw in ) and has no issues with any other fish .

Over the last week or so I have seen some color changes in him , and now am leaning to it being a Goldflake again .

Here's a small video of him in the DT.

Quality and color seems a little off for some reason though after I uploaded it to Photobucket.
