i have a recently added goniopora flower pot coral to my tank it came out for the first few days after i had it in there and then stopped coming out. It will show its tentacles alittle bit but not much. Now the other day i have noticed my two clown fish trying to host to it.
My question is do you think it will eventually get used to them? Will it just eventually die because it cannot come out? What are your opinions let me know.

My experience is that goniopora won't like that kind of "attention" from the clowns... they may annoy it so much it will just recede and die...

thats what i was thinking. that sucks though i have seen some picture of clowns hosting in them before. It comes out more and more then the clowns will go rub on it and it will receed. what do you think i should do sell the goniopora or get the clowns and anemone i dont really have the room for one considering they like to move around alot

I have the same problem with my clowns. They host in the brain that I have but tend to play in the flower pots. I have two flower pots and they tend to play in both of them. So I went a head and bot a bta which helped a little bit but they dont nest in the pot but rather just play in them. I ve had the pots for over 2 months now and they seem to be doing fine. But I keep a close eye on them. My clowns nest in the brain most of the time so for now its working. lol

In my case, after my B/W ocellaris killed a huge colt coral, I got them large toadstool mushrooms, and they are very, very happy.
