The brown growth appears to be infected tissue. If you want to try and save the coral, Id suggest removing it to a bucket, carefully scrubbing away that material, possibly doing a coral dip on it, and feeding the devil out of the coral when you get it back in your tank. A tough one to recover from though- good luck with it!

Brown jelly, but you have to act fast this kind of infection can kill your coral very very fast (a day or 2).

Try to take it out of your tank so the brown jelly wont stick to another coral. Siphon the brown jelly before you move it and then do the the dip metoth maybe you can save your coral. but anyway the gionopota live term is about 1 year or 2. Its a beutifull coral but is really hard to keep. You should read a little before purch any kindof corals.

The brown jelly you can cosider it as a gangrene, is not a desess but it came in the joint of direferent factors as wounds whey you carry them, water parameters, stress, hungry, etc.

yea it was a bad purchase...It didnt make it:(...Some of my other corals got affected by it too...there not looking so good either.

Brown Jelly is more like a gangrene. It the result of varius factors like I say before. If some of your corals are afected then there maybe something in your tank. Check your parameters in nano tanks is very easy to lost the parameters from a week to a nother.

your tank is yung (for what I red is 4 month all) . and you may want to slow dow before stock it with corals. At least you should have to weit 6 months. and allways keepo the proportion of you tank size to living stock.

See ya
