Howdy,
My wife was being a sweetheart for my B'Day and purchased a Green Goni for me. When I asked why she simply said "it was pretty". O.K. I know these things are hard to keep right? And I am very new to the stony corals. I have kept softs since I got into the hobby. What do I feed it? What kind of lighting do they require? What should the Ca levels be at? I read that they should be high, like 450 PPM
is presently in my 75 Gal ,which has a 20 Gal refugium. Protien skimmer in the refug. Lighting is from a Outer Orbit dual 150 MH 10K and dual 130 actinics.
Water parameters go like this. Ca-400PPM , MG-1340 PPM , Salinity - 1.024 to 1.025 , Ammonia,Nitrite - 0 , Nitrate- 5 , Phosphate -0 , Temp - 80 , Iodine - Don't test ( supplement twice weekly) , PH 8.3 , Alkalinity -10.
Light cycle is 10 hrs actinic and 6 hrs MH.
Water changes - 10 Gal weekly.
Are they toxic to other corals in the same tank as they are? It is set to itself at the moment.
And on a last note. I noticed a couple of what looks like bumps with the polyps on them. Is it propogating?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it may not live a long time like some of the other corals I have but I am willing to do the best I can for it.
