Gonna buy frogspawn coral need help

care should be easy - moderate flow/lighting...a gently sway is good.

I don't feed mine and let them pick up whater is in the water column after feeding fish.

they have sweepers that can sting other corals so keep them away from others.

I agree moderate flow moderate light. I do feed mine mysis a couple of times a week. I have never seen mine extend any feeder tentacles day or night. I do however keep a little space between it and other corals.

I don't do anything with mine other than have a calcium reactor running and ther grow like crazy. Just keep them away from other coral because the frogspawn will sting them. Low to medium current is recommended.

Ditto on what others have said. Very easy coral to care for.

I however have mine under higher light, 220W PC atinic and 175W 10K MH and he still does fine. I don't feed him directly but I'm sure he's eating whatever is in the water colum. I've seen sweepers on him at times but not too often. I've had mine for about 3 years now.

There are some pic's of him in my gallery. Good luck.

i did notice you had your corals next next to other ones, does it not sting them or have you had any problems of it hurting your other corals? I have 2 frogs adn a torch in my tank and i haev them spaced at least 3" inches from everything else for that fact

They've been that way for years. Not a lot of room in a 45 hex. I do occasionally see them touch each other and they will get burned at that spot but they don't "attack" each other with their sweepers. Guess they are happy and well fed from whats in the water.

I had mine under 384 watts of pc in a 65 gallon tank and it grew a lot. The water was nutrient rich but the lighting was medium. Its color is like a greenish brown not really bright green like some of the other ones I've seen. Is there a reason for this? I now have it under a 250 watt 10k and I'm hoping it will color up or something. Does anyone have any input as to why its color is different.
