Gonodactylellus affinis?

Hello, i found a new mantis in the life rock and i think it is a G. affinis.
There are white spots on the eyes, but i'm not shure because there are red parts on the raptorial appendages and on the telson and protopod he has pink color.

The animal is about 1 cm and the stones are from bali.

There are at last count 16 species in the Gonodactylellus. It could be one of about a half dozen species. If it is really just 1 cm long, it is too differentiated to be G. affinis. Are you sure it isn't more in the 16-18 mm range. Other factors that make me suspicious are the well developed LT teeth and the small number of uropod expopod spines (I count 9 in the photo.)

The total length is 12 mm. (from the rostral plate to the teeth of the telson)

Better pics are not possible, the mantis is simply to small for my equipment.

Hey Timmy,

What type of camera/lense do you use? Im currently in the market for something alot better than what I have. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens and a wireless flash system. One or two Speedlight 430 EX with the Speedlight Transmitter ST-E2.
It is excellent because i can place the flash anywhere.
