Gonodactylus smithi

It is indeed a Gonodactylus smithii. Maximum size is about 8 cm, but they do not grow very fast. I would guess that this animals is about 5 cm. It that is the case, it will take another two or three years to reach 8 cm.

If you are careful about water quality, a five gal. should be o.k. This is one species that like LR and being a reef flat beast, is not bothered by bright, broad spectrum light.

Was going to say it did indeed look to be a G. smithii (but you knew that already). ;)
