Good 20k bulb for a magnetic ballast

I am trying to find a good 250 watt 20k bulb that will fire on a magnetic ballast. I have bought an XM 250w 20K, but I am hearing that the par is greatly reduced on this bulb. I am currently setting up my first frag tank, and want optimal growth and color. I know some have suggested going with Phoenix 14k's. Any input is greatly appreciated.

If its an M80 ballast then you could run a Radium. If it's not then I would be happy with a phoenix over my tank
