Bermuda Triangle on East Brainerd Rd. Chattanooga...
... is the best of the two LFS. Has the best equipment, the most livestock. Lots of frags, and lots of rock. His rock seems to be cheaper than the other store, but everything else is higher.
It is very hard to get waited on, and even harder to keep the sales persons interest. If you want more than one item, ask for them all up front. If you ask for one item, the salesman will get that item and take it to the sales counter and never return. You'll have to go get him to pick a second item. This has happened every single time I have been in this store. Even the owner exhibits this behavior.
The owner and workers do seem to be as honest as any other LFS, however the owner did talk me into purchasing a yellow tang for 55 gallon.
Bermuda Triangle is my favorite store.
Fish Mania on Ringgold rd. East Ridge TN...
Has lots more equipment for sale, but of the lowest quality. Marineland Stealth heaters, pumps you never heard of, etc. Way less livestock, and way less frags. Almost no rock at all, and what he has is too high. His livestock is a little cheaper.
The owner is the nicest guy I have ever met. His employees are the either the least trained, or biggest liars in town. I have been lied to on three seperate occasions by the help, which you never see the same guy twice. The employee turnover is high. The owner will shoot you straight, the employees will not.
This is just my opinion based on my own trips into these stores. My main reason for posting is maybe the owners of these stores will read this post and do something about it.
